Our Maytag m6y12f2a-b window air conditioner compressor will not turn off sometimes. the temperature was set at 75 and when I woke this morning the temperature in the room was 71 according to our thermostat in the room. I turned up the temp on the AC and the compressor did not stop. It didn't make a difference what temp it was set too. I turned off the AC and it just kept humming like it wasn't turned off. I had to unplug it to get it to stop. This has happened before and it always seems to correct itself after being unplugged for a bit. I was thinking it is a bad thermostat but I don't know if I can replace that or not

I would think it's a bad thermostat, but I think it's NLA... I was thinking it is a bad thermostat but I don't know if I can replace that or not
