This is for a machine I purchased for a rental. Start button doesn't do anything. Of course, the problem started 20 months after purchase and was intermittent until now.

1. Open and close the door. The door has to be opened between consecutive wash cycles.
2. Check the door switch/lock unit using the diagnostics.

Hey, thanks. I didn't realize the door had to be opened, which was apparently the problem. By the time I saw that, I already had the thing taken apart. But nothing wrong with learning how things work. I really appreciate the manual, it will help me next time. I looked at spare parts and found the User Control board as well. Not cheap, but it's quite a bit cheaper here!
