Ge zisw420dmc ref leaking from top

Water leaking from cracked plastic tray under compressor, leaking down the cabinet to the floor. Ge part number is a wr17x11924 vaporizer pan ss assembly. Figure it is a stainless steel replacement. What about the vaporizor part? Does it come with a heater? Looks like i just need to lift the compressor and slide it under. Anybody have any tips on this that has changed one of these?

I think the "vaporizer" is just another way of saying
"the hot Compressor Freon lines will evaporate the water"
You may be able to "patch" the original plastic(?) pan.

Thanks Reg. interesting pan configuration. Pan would have to be removed to try and patch. Might as well replace it if it is out.

Did this job last week. Takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes. Work the condensor off its mount first then slide pan/compressor out gently moving compressor back as the pan comes out the front. Original plastic pan was cracked from front to back.
