Serial # 16883069AJ

This oven will only Preheat.

I set it for 350 degrees. It says Preheating and the electric element comes on and brings the oven
up very slowly.

It never ends the Preheat and never activates the Igniter. It never gets power.

Is this the control board or is there something else in the chain that would cause this?

No schematic available.

Thanks,
Bruce

has this Oven worked OK up till now at this location ?
and with the currently installed Oven Controller ?
(there's different, similar Controllers)
No voltage to Ignitor ?
OR Ignitor OHMs out OK ? (may read a few hundred OHMs))
Gas Valve should be about 1 OHM
otherwise, bad (Relay, part of the) Controller

Igniter looks OK. There is no voltage coming to it during the Preheat and the controller display never leaves
the Preheat mode.

Also, when I tried it in Convection Bake, the same thing happened and the fan never came on.

Bruce

Also, Landlord thinks they may have replaced the controller before, but not sure.
The oven has been in the same location since it was new. Many years, but it hasn't worked since last year, November.

What a patient tenant. She says she doesn't cook much....Boy, that's a "Given"
