Frigidaire Gallery Dryer has multiple issues

1.) The dryer continues through it's cycle regardless if the door is open or not, door light will go on and off but the dryer continues to tumble. When the dryer reaches the end of a cycle the buzzer will run indefinitely. The only way to stop it is to unplug the machine.
2.) Although the dryer cycle continues the dryer itself, heat and tumbling stops intermittently throughout the cycle but because the cycle continues it will start back after being shut down for 10-20 minutes. Just before stopping, the dryer begins to slow down and, loudly, strains to a stop.
Thanks in advance for any assistance in resolving these problems.

1) continues to run while Door is open ...bad Door Switch
2) bad (or lint clogged) Centrifugal Switch (part of the Drum Motor)
3) bad Drum Motor

may also be a bad Start Switch
Does the Dryer start by itself when the Timer Dial is set to a Cycle ?
Does the Dryer stop OK by itself at the end of a Cycle ?

I say it is always on but the dryer does stop tumbling intermittently during the cycle but the cycle continues to advance (even though it's no longer tumbling or heating) therefore once it has cooled or whatever is making it shut off in the first place, it will start tumbling and heating again for a few minutes (5-10) and then stop tumbling for say 10-20 minutes and then cut back on. It will continue to do this till the end of the cycle.
The dryer has been shutting down intermittently for several months and I would have to wait a few minutes and I could turn it back on. The additional issue with the cycle continuing to run, has only started in the last few weeks.

No, it does not stop OK by itself at the end of the cycle......it will stop tumbling and heating (drying) but the buzzer will continue to buzz until it is unplugged.

... Yes, it does start by itself when the Timer Dial is set to a cycle......
...If it is plugged in, the timer dial is always advancing although the dryer may or may not necessarily be running.
...it will stop tumbling and heating (drying) but the buzzer will continue to buzz until it is unplugged.
1) bad Start Switch
2) Timer Motor can't advance if the Buzzer is buzzing ..
3) Timer seems OK
