Kenmore dishwasher, Model #665.13242K900 shut itself down due to high water caused by a clogged drain. I have removed the blockage and now need to reset the machine and need the sequence of button pushes that accomplishes this.
Thanks
Murf

Invoking Service Diagnostics clears all status and last ran information from memory and restores defaults
To invoke the Diagnostics Cycle, perform the following key presses or actions in less than 6 sec while in standby:
Heated Dry ➙ Normal ➙ Heated Dry ➙ Normal

please explain "while in standby". The sequence has been executed in less than 6 seconds with no change in the status.
I must not be in "standby"?

Turning the power to the machine off and then on stops the blinking but the second that Heated Dry is touched the blinking starts again and will not stop until power is turned off and back on. Executing the sequence, Heated Dry⇒Normal⇒Heated Dry⇒Normal, in less then 6 seconds, appears to have no effect.

CHECKING KEYPAD OPERATION
A rapidly blinking LED over one of the keys of the keypad (or sometimes a “dead” keypad/console)
indicates one or more key switch lines are stuck or shorted on either the control or the keypad.
To determine if the control or keypad is faulty, do the following test:
1. Unplug dishwasher or disconnect power.
2. Open the dishwasher door.
3. Open console and disconnect the keypad ribbon connection from the control (at P1).
Make sure all other connections are made.
4. Put console back together. Do not close the dishwasher door.
5. Plug in dishwasher or reconnect power.
6. Wait 5 sec.
7. Close dishwasher door.
8. Monitor the control’s response:
➔If the control is OK (no longer sees shorts with the keypad unplugged),
it will respond by turning on the Drain Motor for 2 minutes.
Check and/or replace the keypad if the control responds OK.
➔If the control is not OK (still sees shorts with the keypad unplugged), then the drain motor will NOT.
if the drain motor does not start within 10 sec, repeat or verify that all the steps were followed, then replace the control.

Check the thermal fuse/bi-metal, first thing I check when dishwasher stops with water still in tub...

<--- Sorry, too many Dead Guys...

Missed that part earlier. more likely a keypad issue as RegUS_PatOff pointed out above.
