This is a model GD5RUAXUY05. Customer says bin has always frozen since new so he can't lift it out, eventually freezes down into auger section.
Flapper door in dispenser closes well. Ice damaged bin enough we replaced it, along with a new auger assy., as it was damaged too.
New bin was OK for a couple of weeks, customer left for two weeks and it was frozen again when he got back.
It appears to freeze around a vertical metal hex shaft running from motor into bottom of bin.
Any one know anything about this one? He had a similar model with the icemaker and bin mounted in the freezer instead that never gave any problem.
