GE stove - Model JBP80T0H1WW - Display dark, oven no heat, burners get warm

6 posts in this topic

Wife tried to replace oven bulb. Start to remove socket (removed 2 screws), tried to put screws back in, heard pop. Now oven dead and display is dead, burners get hot.

Is there an internal fuse that might have popped?

1) :nono:

2) no, sorry

Electronic oven control, manufacturer has modified the connections on the board.

Now the door on this oven is not closing correctly. I cannot get the right hinge situated inside the frame such that the door closes snug. I'also shown a picture of the left hinge, which appears to be operating correctly. Maybe the hinge is broken? Is there a trick to getting this right hinge back in correctly?

Ok, got the door back on. Took the hinge completely out of the oven, used pliers to extend the hinge, moved the clip to lock the door, put hinge back into oven.
