Maytag Washer No Cold Water

Maytag MAV4057AWW hums softly when it should be delivering cold water but none comes out. Cold water faucet pressure checks fine and is open. Hot water works normal as does all other washer functions.

sounds like a bad or clogged Cold Water Valve

depending on Washer serial number:
