Back after spending time trying to understand things and some time for procrastination.

After installing the thermostat things still weren't right but the forced defrost worked and once a day
I was able to maintain the temps in a good range. Last Sunday the forced defrost didn't respond and the temp started going up. The damper motor stays on and the evaporator fan stays on. Since the beginning of the problems I don't remember either of these shutting off. The condenser fan isn't running and there isn't a clicking sound and I don't know where or what to start with. I have tried the freezer & frig control to see if lowering the setting would help but no response.

1) was there frost on the Evaporator Coils ? ... Defrost Thermostat need to be cold to enable Defrost
2) either the Freezer Cold Control or the ADC

Thanks. There was frost on the rear panel but I didn't remove it to see about the coils.

I'm re-reading the manual re these parts to be able to test them. I've replaced the ADC already.
The freezer control would turn compressor on and the fridge control would turn the damper on, right?
I'm restating that because you included the pic/link for the frig control also and my brain is easily muddled right now with no one else to sound off of to do this and I really appreciate your kindness and patience.
