I got the dreaded "Check Vent" error on my Miele T9820 gas dryer. I have done the following:
- Cleaned, washed, and dried the lint filter
- Vacuumed everything. The vent itself is only couple feet long, so no problem there.
- Unplugged the unit for many hours
The problem did not go away. So I looked up the service manual and tried to delete the fault codes. I was able to enter the correct service mode. However, I am neither able to read the fault code nor delete them. The top four LED on the status (drying, etc.) keep blinking. Keeping Start/Stop pressed does not do anything.
What can I do to clear the faults? This is the third time I have encountered this issue. The previous two times a Miele technician came and cleared the faults with the software. I want to avoid paying for such a simple thing.
I haven't yet looked the the high limit switch, which may have tripped.
I would really appreciate any hints/helps.
Thanks.
