I replaced the gas valve on this range 6 months ago. Now, both ignitors glow but the valve does not open. Is there anything I should look for that could be causing the valve to go bad?

May not be a problem with the valve-- Check continuity of the valve bimetal, if open, then the valve is conclusively bad. If that checks good, measure current draw through the ignitors, should get minimum of 3.2 amps.

I agree, Ignitors get weak and may not open the Gas Valve
What's the part number of the Gas Valve you installed ?
also... make sure you're using the "flat" Ignitors, not the "round" ones

Thanks for the replies. I should have said in my original post that the ignitor amperages were checked at 3.3 and 3.2. I replaced the valve again, and it is operating normally now. The gas valve I am using is part #WB19K36. I did find that the receptacle had a poor connection on the neutral side. I don't know if that would cause the valve to fail though. Also, both ignitors are flat. Thanks for your help.
