To the Dojo,

I go out on a standard "I don't have ice from my lasered ice bucket" call, but with a twist. Actually, without a twist; literally, the bucket auger motor CAN'T turn the shaft to dispense the ice without a gawd-awful screech. Pull the motor, and ran it alone--works fine. I'm left with the conclusion of a stuck/very sluggish shaft. Does anyone have any appliantological experience with this problem?

Thanks in advance,
Tyrus

Sounds like the shaft is in a bind. The shaft bearing is pinching the Shaft?

Based on the service bulletin, the motor shaft should move up and down freely; I'm going to try WD40 to loosen it. Where is the shaft bearing; is it found and/or serviced from underneath the hex draft shaft coupling?
