Hi,This unit ,when you start any cycle will immediately start agitating. A few seconds later it will start filling with water while agitating. It will drain and spin fine. It is a whirlpool direct drive based but it is newer. I think it is the air switch malfunctioning but im not sure. Any ideas?

common problem
If switch fails make sure drain hose is up at least 42 inches from the finished floor
and is discharging into an open stand pipe or laundry tub to prevent water from siphoning that can damaging switch.
The manufacturer has replaced part number W10177795
with this item, part number W10292584
