A friend has a Kenmore washer 110.20882990 that overflowed the other night.

She "thinks" that she set the water level between 2 of the preset levels. Would that cause it to overfill? After we got it cleaned up I tested it at several different levels and it seemed to work okay but wanted to check to see if setting it between the preset levels would cause that.

Thanks

Yes, definitely would cause an overflow. Normally isn't easy to set the control as she claims occurred, but could be possible if it has worn or somehow gone wonky.

Thanks Dad. I'll check the switch and if it feels "worn" I'll order another one.
