This is a GE Dryer. Customer brought me this dryer with the left side removed. And parts missing. Customer replaced dryer motor when dryer would not start. They dont know if the motor is wired correctly.

Any help would be appreciated

OK I got it back together. Does any one have a wiring digram that shows which color goes to which post on the motor.

Ok The wiring that was sent are not all the same colors.
I took pics of the way its hooked up now and a pic of the wiring diagram. They are attached.

So here is what it is wired like now.
Pink on the bottom which I think is #1 goes to idler spring switch
#2 Brown goes to hi limit Thermo
#3 Red W/ Black Stripe goes to the front panel I assue the mositure sensor/ and a black wire that goes to the Terminal block
#4 Dark Yellow goes to Door Switch
#5 2 pink wires one to the Cycling Thermo and one to the element
#6 Yellow ground does go to ground

Can you help from this. I hope so.

OK the wiring that the other guy did, as soon as you plugged the dryer in the motor word buzz. I used the wiring diagram on the tech sheet and now it does not buzz but the motor and heater comes on as soon as you turn it to any cycle start switch is not shorted it test good. I must have a couple wires messed up. The new motor is part#
WE17X10010. Repair Clinic said that it comes with instructions how to put in my customer says it did not come with any instrctions. Does anyone have thst sheet, or have a suggestin on how I can get it?
Any help would be appreciated.

that Motor (from the kit) is only used on a few GE models ..

Should I go by the diagram from manage my life on an earlier post, for what the numbers are ie. M1 M2
These are the color of wires I have:

Brown goes to hi limit Thermo
(2 wires)Red W/ Black Stripe goes to the front panel I assue the mositure sensor/ and a black wire that goes to the Terminal block
Dark Yellow goes to Door Switch
(2 wires) purple wires one to the Cycling Thermo and one to the element
Yellow ground does go to ground
Pink wire goes to the belt switch

2) I only see one Red/Black wire and it also connects to the larger Black Wire from L2 power >>> M1 (Motor Centrifugal Switch)
3) wiring diagram shows Door Switch wire is Brown/Yellow >>> M4

no motor busses when i plug in but does not start. This motor wiring is different then old motor, so I guess the tech sheet is usless.

post better (angle) picture of your connections to your Motor

Do you have any pictures or notes about the connections on your "old" Motor ?

Just the tech sheet. I maybe able to get the Instruction Sheet for the new motor from my local parts company. But that wont be till monday. This motor is wired differently from the old motor. Yes the motor terminals are numbered.
1 at far right on picture through 9.

This site shows a different combination for M1, M2 etc. but when I hook it up that way the motor and element come on as soon as you put it on any cycle.

can you post a picture of your "new" Motor that shows the terminal numbers ?
and a photo of the Switch shown at managemylife

Tried latest configuration you sent me still motor just buzzing as soon as I pluged it in. If you goto the managemylife post link'd above you can see the numbering of terminal posts, click on the picture and scroll down to the bottom of the pic.
Also if I hook it up according to the managemylife page the motor and heater come on as soon as you put it on any cycle. I dont have a blue so I put the purple on that terminal.

Black and Purple are 220v for the Heater...
Don't worry about them for now..
If connected to the wrong terminals, it could ruin your Motor
Leave them disconnected for now (taped)

do you have pictures (or notes) of your "old" Motor (Switch) before the wires were removed ?
and what wire colors do you have on the Motor...
your wiring diagrams says:
Red from Start Switch
Brn/Yel from Door Swtch
Pink from Idler Spring Switch
Black from L2
Purple from Heater Element
