maytag gas range,burner flames light up fine but flames go from high to low....also customer says she hears a poofing sound sometimes when baking......gas valve?

Has this range worked OK up till now at this location ?
Has it been recently converter from / to LP Gas ?
LP Tank low on volume ?

LP Tank low on volume ?
Had one recently, turned out to be the regulator on the LP tank, not the range.

Sounds like the regulator to me. I would use my nanometer to check gas pressure but not to many people have one of those.
