I'm working on a commercial Maytag washer. Here's what's happened so far. The washer stopped with 8 minutes left in the cycle. I got it to clear out, put money in it and it locks the door and stops and doesn't do anything. It showed no codes at first, later an F28 code showed which means the CCU and motor board aren't communicating. I put in a new switch assembly, but nothing has changed. The ground switches were out of position, the motor and harness to it were good, no loose connections. Put money in again and door locks and then nothing. Does anyone know what is wrong? Thanks, Ted

If you leave any panels off so that any of the ground switches are not closed you will get an F28 error.

If the switch mounting is broken so that when the panels are installed the switches don't close you will get the same problem of coarse.

I replaced the ground switches, and put the panels back on before trying to start the machine. It still just locks the door and sits. There is no error code. What else can it be? Thanks for your response. Ted

F28 ... may also be a polarity problem.. (Wall Outlet)
Has this Washer worked OK up till now at this location ?

Also, verify the drive motor operation in diagnostic mode.
If drum fails to tumble, replace the MCU

try pulling the M3 wire harness off the ccu and then try it if it starts to fill then its your MCU M3 is located on the side of ccu should have 2 small blue wires
