I have a peerless propane boiler. Every now and then the boiler will not ignite. All the switches and the igniter function and the gas valve opens and then when the boiler does not ignite the gas valve shuts off. The only way to get it to try again is to shut the whole system down and recycle it. Sometimes this must be done two or more times but it always manages to fire up. Several repairs have been attempted but the intermittant problem persists.

Couldn't find anything re "Gas Heating". Looked at your Basic Troubleshooting and Gas Furnace Maintenance threads, neither dealt with this problem that I could see.
So, jmurra14, you say the ignitor is functioning but failing to ignite the gas? What kind of ignitor is this - hot surface, spark...?
Also we could use a model number.
