This is a 6 year old down draft range that I think the control board has gone bad. I have heard that this part is poorly designed and is likely to fail again if replaced. The oven has no fault codes showing.
The issues are: the oven light turns itself on and off sporadically. If I turn the oven on, I have to watch it constantly because it well shut itself off. It also turns any time off that is set. Sometimes the touch control does'nt work at all, when I hit cancel they will sometimes work. Basically with all these problems I end up flipping the breaker or the thing well beep constantly. If I replace the touch pad, are they better built then the originals? Any info would be appreciated.
