Can I substitute a 2500 watt for a 2400 watt bake element?
May or may not. The only way to be sure is to bake several apple pies and several sweet potato pies, let's say 4 of each in an oven with the 2500 watt element and the same in an oven with the 2400 watt oven. Now this is the crucial part, they then must be overnighted to my office where we have a special and highly technical biomechanical method of testing for differences. Best of all, the testing is free of charge. As soon as we get your samples they will be rushed to the table.. i mean to the lab ...for testing. Highly recommended.

The simplest explanation is most likely the correct and least expensive one, unless it's your compressor or motherboard" Occam as an appliantologist
"When you have eliminated all the impossible, whatever remains, however implausible, must be the logic truth; unless it's your compressor or motherboard." Mr. Spock as an appliantologist
"I think, therefore I have no earthly idea why this thing is not working...I got nothin'...". Rumored to have been uttered by a frustrated Descartes while diagnosing his GE Profile.
