Have used three restring kits on this POS since June. Keeps burning out the elements. Vent temps range from 120 to 143. Did not monitor for a complete cycle though. What is normal range for this unit?? Could faulty thermostat cause the elements to self destruct due to continous high heat?? Beginning to think it would be cheaper to buy customer a new dryer!

Look VERY closely at the metal stand-off brackets for any cracks in the porcelain. Replace any that are suspect.

Had this same experience, multiple call backs (I guarantee the repair for a year). After getting burned like that, I don't screw around with the re-string kits anymore, I just replace the whole heating dish. More expensive but it's a lot faster and more reliable repair, too.

Have had good luck in the past with restring kits but this unit has been a pain in the a$$. We'll see if the new heater assembly will hold up any better. This one is a loss leader.

I also just replace the whole assembly, since we charge flat rate labor.
