Whirlpool Range Model #WFG361LVS

12 posts in this topic

Oven Bake is intermittent.

It has an electrode spark ignition.

Sometimes it sparks once and lights right up. The next time it won't.

Is there anything else that consistently fires this ignitor?

Or does it just sound like a tired igniter?

Bruce

Why replace the lower burner and electrode?

Electrode is available separately.

REG US

This unit has worked fine where it is. Nothing changed. No electrical work done. Broiler works fine. Surface units work fine.

Visually check the stregth of the broil spark as you turn the oven on for bake (both spark at the same time). Symptoms described above could indicate a bad (weak) spark module.
