All Appliantology tech members are invited to join in this workshop on all things Appliantological: bidness, customers, tools, troubleshooting, flavorite brewski, whatever. Webcams and microphones are open and live!
This workshop is also a great time for any students at Master Samurai Tech to bring any and all questions about the coursework. We're happy to walk through any concepts you're having trouble with. Think of it like office hours with your teachers.
If you have a specific appliance problem you'd like us to talk about, post it here! We need a problem statement and a PDF of the tech sheet or schematic so we can all see it on screen share. If you have a PDF that isn't already in the File library here at Appliantology, send it to us by attaching it to the contact form.
Also, follow this Calendar Event so you'll get notified of new posts here. Look for the "Follow" button either at the top of the topic on desktop or below the topic on mobile.

When: Saturday, March 30 @10:00 AM Eastern Time.

I know this unit will be scrapped after I show up to customer Because it is making noise. Alreadynthinking bearing failure. But is a service manual available for it. I already know that the parts houses have outer tub with bearings only at the tune of $400 plus. Thankyou. Patricio

Spinner mounting bolts have been known to come loose/break on these - access them by removing paddles

Thank you KDog. The bearings definitely going, can hear them talking by hand turning. Are not the Neptune the washer that bankrupted Maytag because of the class action suit?

Ya was dumb though, no different than the issues with other F/L's - pretty simple machine to service

Yes the bearings did not seem to much off a problem, could not find them online, I could get them matched up a a bearing supply in Corpus Christi 30 miles away.

Teh customer had the machine 15 years, & already replaced (according to him) the motor control & electronic control board over the years, plus the machine stunk to high hell. I quoted $550 The cost of the replacement drum. He ask me if I would recommend it, I said no He should not fork out any more because of its age & condition.

I have done work on other units for him He & wife have their own reality company & are plenty wealthy, $million home. I'll make money down the line, Job security, I also do small engine & house repairs, He pays well. He likes my service, honesty, & work ettique. I am here in this poor/rich community to stay.
