The dryer is about 7 years old,a couple of weeks ago i notice that my clothes are taking longer and longer to get dry,any sugestion on what the problem could be?

Would suggest either your dryer vent to the outside is blocked, not letting the hot wet air get to the outside, remove the vent hose from the dryer and see if the problem goes away.  If it is still long dry time suspect the inside heater coil on the heating canister has broken so you would be getting only partial heat.
