I have a duet dryer model wed9400sw0 that is getting 120 volts to the heating element at all times when running even in air fluff. It had an f25 error in the service mode. I checked the outlet themisitor and it was at like 35 k ohms but it was still warm so that seems ok. I am leaning towards replacing the machine control electronics and outlet themisistor just to be safe. Just looking for a second opinion.

can't normally measure a 240v Heater Element using Neutral (ground),
but are you getting 120v to Neutral (ground) at both (each) end of the Heater Element in the Air Fluff Mode ?

Disconnect one of the leads from the element before you make this measurement or you'll just read the voltage through the element from the other side. Also, this splits the circuit in half with the 120vac from the controls on one side and the other 120vac from the motor on the other side and lets you identify which is the problem side.

If there was 120v across the Heating Element, it would be "heating" (somewhat)
Has this Dryer worked OK up till now at this location ?

Seems to me its either a stuck relay on the main board or a closed centrifugal switch on the motor. Ive never seen a motor fail like tghat, so my money is on the heater relay. Try pulling the wire off the relay if possible and see if that changes anything. Also just for S&G ohm the heater to ground and make sure its not shorted out. Thats probably not it, but lets rule it out just for Occams sake. good luck.

I had a few Whirlpool electric dryers where the thermal fuse on the blower housing cut the power to everything but the heater element.  The heater element was  on the whole time the timer was on. Just to be safe to make sure the heater element wasn't grounded out I replaced the element and the thermal fuse.

Update.  I installed a new machine control electronics and it fixed the problem thanks for the help.
