I had a call from customer who bought a lid lock for his washer. He bought the lock switch because the washer would not go into the wash and reads out DU.
He says there is no visible reason for the lock to not be locking. He can hear the lock trying to engage, but it will not come out the whole way. As a result the cyclt will not start.

Model # 11027072600
Just wanted to see if anyone had this problem before I went out there.
Thanks

Some model have a problem with the lid cracking near the hinge. This causes the door to cose slightly twisted, and the door latch/lock will not line up and lock.

Thanks for posting the tech manual. I went out there yesterday.
As soon as you plugged in the washer, it tried 4 or 5 times to lock, then put up DU code and would not let you do anything with the controls. I could not even put it into the test/diognostics mode.
I did test 8 in the manual. Everything tested out fine with the proper ohms. Led me to believe it is a bad board. The customer had to talk to wife to see if they wanted to put more money into this washer. I didn't have the board on the truck. I will post if they decide to fix it.
I think that board was his problem all along, but he wanted to buy the lock and put it in himself to save $. He had the tech manual out when I got there, but did not read it properly so he didn't come to the conclusion that it was a bad board. Plus he was diognosing without a ohm meter. He destroyed the old lock in the process of taking it out so returning the new one is not happening. He is going to be about $350 into this repair if he decides to get it fixed.
