Lost neutral damage

The power line coming into my house shorted and the neutral line burned out. This resulted in all light bulbs burning out and over voltage on my appliance circuits. My Sub Zero refrigerator, high efficiency gas furnace and Thermador cooktop are now dead. What should I look for first in the refrigerator (Model 850) and cooktop?

Main power boards in all of them - double voltage will have likely fried the power supply portions of the controls. Often power suppliers are liable for this sort of damage.

While you are at it,  call your power co. and get them to install a whole house surge protector. You get added protection and easier claims against power company.  btw is your name referring to THE Carolina Inn in Chapel Hill?
