These washers are expensive pieces of badly engineered garbage. One last try on mine and I'm going after Sears for selling this under it's Kenmore brand, and LG if necessary. They're programmed to detonate after the warranty is up!

No CPSC ruling/finding on this failure (yet).
Possible software glitch/malfunction (could be isolated/could be wide-ranging).
Time will tell...
Sorry to disappoint---but it seems your favorite brand is not immune---to re-decorating consumer's laundry rooms..

Musty odor
L-O-N-G cycle times
Dingy/yellowing whites
Suds error message
Slow spin speeds
Intermittent water leaks (from rear of washer)
And other annoying symptoms which vary brand-to brand.
Read below:
The *correct* amount of HE (High Efficiency) detergent that should be used in any front load or agitatorless top load washer with tub sizes 3.0 cu ft and larger is as follows:
HE: (2) Tablespoons Per Wash Load
HE 2X: (1) Tablespoon
HE 3X: (1) Teaspoon
Perform a TUB CLEAN CYCLE every (4) months.
Use: "Tide Washing Machine Cleaner"

I think I will stick with my 12 year old, K/M labeled, Whirlpool direct drive washer..................Repairs to date, two lid switches.......

My two cents. Look's like a sudden stop during the spin cycle. I am going to guess that the outer tube and spin basket some how became one!!!??? By locking together during the spin cycle a tremdous amount of torgue came to bear on the suspension supports. If you look at the left front support at 1:17 in the video. This shows the the support was not "blown out" but a large amount of force was applied to it until a tear line develop and spread to the edge, once hitting the edge, there was nothing to hold back the force. Then Kaboom!
Now just speculation

i heard somthing about a rework on lg toploaders where the main pcb is being updated to help this issue and there is also a sticker to place on the machine telling people not to wash water proof items like sleeping bags

This one was done on purpose, I guess I have a sick sense of humor, I found it hilarious at one point, kind of a cross between a cartoon and a Tarantino movie about a sentient washer looking for revenge for the dirty underwear it was subject to.

ENOUGH already John63. Let's call it a truce. I think ALL the manufacturers and the consumers need to lobby against the EPA, the Department of Energy and Energystar and tell them to give us back our old tried and trusted machines, the hell with all these stupid front loaders and energy saving top loaders without an agitator.
