LG dle5001w dryer stuck in cooling mode

4 posts in this topic

Can't seem to get the dryer out of the cooling mode. I've cleared the vent lines from the back off the dryer all the way outside.

Any thoughts?

If the dryer heats during a cycle---but the COOLING light flashes on the Control Panel---normal.

1) Verify 220 volts at the receptacle.

2) Inspect the plug terminal connections (back of dryer) for loose/burnt wires.

3) Test/check the THERMAL LIMITER on the side of the Heater Housing (continuity test with a meter).

If the vent system (in the home) was restrictive/blocked---this would be the cause of a failed THERMAL LIMITER.
