Elux Frontload Washer LTF2140ES1 -- not starting

4 posts in this topic

Went out to a "no start" complaint.  Door latch was not engaging and lights on the control panel were flashing. Had a broken handle from the door being slammed; customer described having to shove door closed harder and harder to get it started until it quit starting altogether.

Put in a new door latch assembly today. Still getting flashing lights and no start.  Door now closes correctly, but the lock does not engage.

I no longer have access to E-lux techline, but a flashing display across the board on laundry products has been the board sensing a non-existent voltage error.  (I do have a consistent 122.5 volts at the wall.)

Before I tell the landlord he's on the hook for a new board and a second tech to get the dryer off the top, does anyone else have any ideas or thoughts to test?

Not knowing the model number for the dryer............................... In the service van, I have four 'RubberMaid'  tubs that carry  the four basic appliance's parts....The tubs are about 12 inch's high X 16" wide X 24" long............They are roughly the same height as the washer when stacked.....I  place them to the right or left of the washer....I disconnect the dryer vent and the cord, get a good grip on the dryer and pick up a bit  and swing to the stack...No bending to set down OR pick up.... Also in the van, I carry a 24" X 24" square piece of 1/2" plywood that the dryer will set on, on the tubs.....No second person for me...............But I charge to stack and unstack......  .

Owners got back from holidays, so I went back out.  Unit did not enter self-diagnostics, and the flashing lights did not correspond to any error codes... the "start" light just flashed continually.

Given that the unit's not recognizing its door lock and not going into self-diagnostics, I'm going with new MCB.  I've replaced more than one of those on E-lux front-loaders.
