unable to locate a model or serial number anywhere on this machine.i know where the numbers are supposed to be.any ideas on where else to look?don't want to ask for a service manual without a model.the machine agitates but nothing else.

Beneath washer lid, on tub rim

 

MAYTAG

  1. On the back, behind the control panel
  2. Inside the washer lid, right bottom corner
  3. On the back on the baseframe to the left

 

OR is it a Kenmore ?

Manual for typical Collapse-o when you say only agitates - no water fill/pump etc ?

 

seems that they had oddball number plates under the back of the lid so it's covered when you open it

Model number tag as depicted below ... same location as majority of Whirlpool-made toploaders.
