To the Dojo,

 

My customer called back on this DW, saying it hadn't finished drying after about ninety minutes (NORMAL wash lasts 85). On my normal followup call, she said the dishwasher was working great; hence my confusion now. The suspects appear to be the thermistor, heating element, and control board. Does anyone know the ohm value of the Frigidaire thermistor? To check the heater, I would ohm and check amp draw during a cycle.

How long does it actually take, now ?

May be taking a longer time to initially heat the incoming water to required temperature ...

I raised the water heater thermostats to 125, Reg; someone else replaced both elements (and MAY have turned down the thermostats). I'm going back out today; I will talk with the customer before I go out and post the completion time.

Went back out, discovering that after over two hours the dishwasher finally finished (with WH thermostats set to 130) but water on the door, in the tub, and on the dishes. Hi-limit safety thermostat on the tub ohmed continuity with no resistance, but the calrod heating element ohmed out at 15.25--6 ohms over what it should. Have ordered replacement and will install later this week. I would really like to put this dishwasher through a service cycle before leaving; the service manual offers no method for an FDB model without a Dialomatic control, though.
