It is a stack unit, model # FEX831FS1 . It seems to work fine except it won't agitate. I'm pretty sure it's the transmission but want to make sure I didn't miss something. The agitator spins freely both ways, I replaced the drive bell, it was worn but it didn't help. The motor seems fine, the transmission spins when draining/spinning but does not rotate when in agitate mode. The belt and wheel spin during agitate. There's no oil or anything visible, the belt looks okay, overall the unit is pretty new looking and rust-free but is from '07. Transmission?

if the drive pully on the trans is turning when its supposed to agitate but its not then you can check the little adapter that goes between the trans shaft and the agitater, if thats ok then the trans is bad

Do you mean the splined thing, the bell drive? That's the only thing I could figure out that was between the agitator and the trans.

yes thats what i meant, when i read your post i thought you made a typo and meant you changed the drive belt, sorry. Also make sure where the drive bell goes into the agitator is not stripped. what i usually do is run it without the aditator on then you can see if the shaft is moving or not, if the shaft does not move then its definitely the trans

The old drive bell was pretty worn but the shaft wouldm't spin even withthe new one. Looks like the transmission is the culprit,Thanks for your help, I wasn't quite confident enough to call it without a second opinion.
