Maytag Epic mod. no. MFW9800tq0.
Error code F-05.
Who has the specs for this code?
I do not see F-05 in the manual listed on site.

Think I found what I am looking for.
Temp sensor or bad heater.

The manual that was in the Pot Luck Supper when you started this topic was for the Maytag Epic z-- different animal. I've added the manual for the Maytag Epic and it does include the F/05 error code-- bad heater circuit, as you already determined. Good job!

Yep. The correct manual makes adifference.
I used the "Z" manual from yesterday.
Got to the house, removed the rear panel to access the sensor and heater.
NOPE. Not there.
Opened the lower front panel and there it was.
Easy fix.
It had come unplugged.
