There's a service bulletin out on this problem. They don't list the W1 models as being affected but the affected production week is M124. Can check that with the serial number.

Talked to potential customer, gave him 3 senerios.
1. Plugged vent, says it is clean straight shot,
2. valve stuck, said to observe with no clothes in it, does it fill with water after sitting idle,
3. bad control board,
Also rough park figured cost for each repair...said he would discuss with wife & get back to me...have not heard from him since.
