It's called the Relay Board Assembly ..

the Relay is just one electrical component on the Board that could be replaced separately (soldered) ..

so are we left with the membrane touch pad being bad?, not the main board and not the controller in the console

That's what I'm wondering. Is there a way to test it with a multimeter or do I need more sophisticated equipment?

Did you run the *Pd Membrane Key Pad Utility as mentioned in the Service Manual ?

No, I didn't run the key pad utility. The dryer came with the house. We bought the place about 1.5 years ago. One key on the panel has not worked correctly that entire time - the time decrease key on the lower dryer. Not starting began after I used the top compartment one night.

 

 

[UPDATE]

Since neither time up nor time down is working on the lower compartment I had to use the controls for the upper.

On Pd Membrane Utility: the lights next to time dry, sensor dry and wrinkle release stayed lit

Logic board test : Pass/Pass

Help Code List: LS and LE both came up

Diagnostic Code List: 8 displayed as the only value and selecting that with time up displayed 2 (on the display for the lower compartment) and 982.
