RAN DIAGS, NO CODES, START UNIT, FILLS, AGITATES PROPERLY, LED LIGHT NEVER GOES TO WASH, STAYS ON SENSING, VERY SLOW AGITATION,SPINS PROPERLY.  NEED ADVISE, THANKS

How can it not have a model number?

 

Check the splutch bolt.  There's a service bulletin on the bolt backing out ==> http://appliantology...etin-w10492393/

Anytime you can't get a diagnostic code, suspect wiring problems. Working from memory, on the MVW and WTW models, there's going to be a potential loose/corroded wiring issue on the J2/J16 shifter and motor controls off the Main Control Board (MCB). Beyond that, to begin, check the shift motor relay on the MCB; then, Ohm out the Shifter motor (pins 1 and 2 off the J16 connector)--reading about 2K to 3K ohms. Look for burnt Motor triacs on the MCB; windings on the PSC motor should be in the range of 3 to 6 ohms. All for starts to ID a potential Shift Assembly problem.

Model number should be located under the lid in the back, very hard to see unless you have the lid part way open.

CUST GOT UNIT FROM SCRATCH DENT WAREHOUSE, NO NUMBERS, WILL CHECK WIRING, ALLREADY CKD PULLEY, ACU,ETC, THANKS 4 ADVISE, WILL UPDATE.

Model # tag missing means Whirlpool wanted the unit scrapped out.  It should not have been resold.

Did you pay for this unit????    As Scottthewolf states, this is a 'stripped unit'........This unit when new, had previous attempts to be repaired..............Could not be repaired, so instead of spending more tech time on it , it was stripped of its label and was supposed to be sent off to be  junked/recycled...........  .

could be actually a "good / running" unit, built from (new?) "scrapped" appliance parts.

How long ago did you buy it ?

Has it been running OK up till now ?

I have seen a few where the crappy lables fell off, luckily the customer had found it before it got lost, and im not talking on old ones, i have seen it on 2 vmw's

UNIT IS 10 M0NTHS OLD, SHE HAD STICKER ON IT WHEN NEW, SHE HAS OCD, CLEANING NUT, CLEANED STICKER RIGHT OFF, GETING REPLACED FROM W/P

Will give it a shot, will diag more indepth, thanks 4 ur imput
