... The machine will fill & agitate

... but will not spin.

1) Motor and Capacitor are good (Timer may be bad)

2) what does it do when it should be Spinning ? any noises ? does it Drain ?

... what does it do when it should be Spinning ?

.

... motor humms

Lid Switch is good

may be some clothing caught between the Tub and Basket

or could be a bad Timer

OR, if you remove the Motor and try turning the Coupler in each direction

OR, remove the Motor, hold it steady with your feet, and see if it will run during Spin

Must be the timer.  We removed the motor & hooked up another working motor; will run great during agitation setting but both motors only hum during spin setting. It is not getting enough power to make it spin properly during the spin cycle.

We checked the tub& the coupler.  Nada,  We also checked the motor like you said, (ours is hooked to a board just for this type test). The motor runs great hooked to a good machine but only humms when hooked to this one in the spin setting. Hence we feel it is the timer. Is there anything else electrical that might be bad? Besides the things we have already tried?
