I need the repair manual for whirlpool washer model # la5500xsn1. The machine will fill & agitate but will not spin. Have replace the lid switch & motor but even the new motor wont spin. Also have replace the start capacitor. Any ideas?

1) Motor and Capacitor are good (Timer may be bad)
2) what does it do when it should be Spinning ? any noises ? does it Drain ?

Lid Switch is good
may be some clothing caught between the Tub and Basket
or could be a bad Timer
OR, if you remove the Motor and try turning the Coupler in each direction
OR, remove the Motor, hold it steady with your feet, and see if it will run during Spin

Must be the timer. We removed the motor & hooked up another working motor; will run great during agitation setting but both motors only hum during spin setting. It is not getting enough power to make it spin properly during the spin cycle.

We checked the tub& the coupler. Nada, We also checked the motor like you said, (ours is hooked to a board just for this type test). The motor runs great hooked to a good machine but only humms when hooked to this one in the spin setting. Hence we feel it is the timer. Is there anything else electrical that might be bad? Besides the things we have already tried?
