I have a Frigidaire refrigerator that has a sealed system problem. I am not the greatest at diagnosing sealed system problems. The cap tube is icing up at the outlet where it connects to the inlet of the evaporator. Can anyone help me with the diagnosis on this problem.

Icing up as in a restriction ... or as in an ice ball?

If restricting there, then the system needs drying = blow it out with nitrogen and add a new filter dryer.

If an ice ball there (and the rest of the evap not frosted) then you have a system that is low on gas ... time to hunt for a leak.

I agree with Strathy but undertaking this repair certainly depends on the value of the fridge and whether it is a warranty call.  Usually, it means it's time to go shopping.

Appliantology is, however appliances are not, an exact science for I know there are a few refrigerators that actually hate me.

if it's a leak, may cost a few hundred dollars to:

find the leak

fix the leak (if it's in an "exposed" area)

evacuate and re-charge system
