mod#fex831fs4 element shuts off after about 2 mins have cleaned vent and have good continuity on element itself what do you think i should try next?

I would first clean the exhaust duct system and make certain there is good air flow.
If that does not correct the problem the thermostats,control and high limit would be the 2 things I check next.

try it with the Vent disconnected

have seen the blower wheel strip out on these, causing no airflow issue
