[fixyourboard]

Be very suspicious of this board if you are finding wacky symptoms.

 

Commonly reported:

  Evaporator fan intermittent.

  LED display dims out.

  Inconsistent temperature control.

  Condensor fan won't run.

  Defrost heater won't power up (and bimetal is OK).

 

We are seeing a large number of these boards in for rebuild. They are NLA but we can rebuild for you.

Yep...yall did one for me before Christmas...so glad to have this resource (fixyourboard.com).
My customer was somewhat dismayed that the control for her 4 year old refbi was nla, but you folks saved the day...or at least saved her 6 grand for a new bi. Kudos and Long live your company!

I've learned my lesson on these and change the evap fan motor each time too.  According to techline, it is the evap motor that is taking them out.  

 

Other symptoms include:

 

- faint beeping or high pitched buzzing noises from the control

- clicking repeatedly

Hmmmm..,they told me it was the condenser fan.

Seems about right...and we pay for this fine advice.

Lol. I had one way back at the beginning of these that I just changed the control on - and had to go back and change it again and the evap motor about a week later. Since then I've always done both.

If I saw one where the condenser fan was not working, I would definitly take a long hard look at it too.

Also, we see a high percentage of this board fail for the shorted evaporator fan motor problem - the fan definitely takes the board out with it.
