I watched the Samurai's video about the weapons he carries into the house. I was able to purchase the backpack through Amazon but I had a very hard time finding the Maytag tool roll. My supplier showed them as being discontinued. I found one on appliancezone but after sending them my 229 bucks they told me it was on a national back order (I am still waiting for my refund). I thought all hope was lost and then I came upon All Appliance Tools. I placed the order with them and my tool roll should arrive sometime today. I believe this company (NIS) is in charge of selling off the last of the Maytag tools inventory. When I place my order they had 43 so my order makes 42. I was able to get the tool roll through them for $150.00 This is a great price for the tool roll.

Great find, Dwayne!  I believe that's the same price I paid for mine 14 years ago from Marcone.  I'm gonna buy one from All Appliance Tools to have it as a backup.  I absolutely love that tool roll!

My tool roll showed up and it was brand new in the box. I cannot wait to start using it and it fits great in the backpack the Samurai recommends too.I know there is a lot of buzz around the Veto bags but I actually sold mine to start using the backpack. Combine the backpack with the tool roll and you will be ready for any battle. Thank you Samurai!

Hmm. I tried to order one of those, but apparently you need an account with them. I kind of thought it would ask for payment info, and then the screen said thanks for your order. The email said I will be contacted. Will they call me to setup an account or a form of payment?

Check out Amazon.com. Type in "Xcelite 99SM Series 99" tool roll. This isn't exactly like the Maytag roll--but it's 95% the same, just a little cheaper roll material and couple different small size nut drivers; howerver, for the price--$150--you can't beat it. We ordered four at our company about a year ago, all still in good shape.

I still have mine from when I worked for Maytag Factory Service, luckily for me, I didn't have to pay for mine.  I wish I still had my meter from Maytag, but I dropped it in a washing machine full of water.

Certainly the fluke 28 is expensive. Nearly $500 but guys the 28 is waterproof and floats! You could do lots of cool things with it, like take it with you to the beach when on vacation, check sparking electrical main panels in the pouring rain. And just suppose it fell into a clogged and full toilet bowl. You could... uh....well you would.... you see, you have to.... hmmm...... yeah my 116 is a great meter and I wouldn't shed a tear to bid it farewell under those circumstances and get another.

Get a Fluke and get a years supply of birth control pills, FREE........

During asti basic electric class the instructor, Mr. Fred's Appliance, doesn't give much respect to any digital meter, particularly the autoranging variety . He loves the simpson but recently took them away from his techs as being too expensive and complicated for them. He gives them a UEi analog meter and suggests we put our digital meters away. Aint gonna happen here... Analog has its uses but I couldn't imagine givin' up muh babies.... uh.. 'ceptin of course if one is submerged in a full and clogged toilet

I don't like auto-ranging digital meters ..

Also, I like analog OHM meters for checking micro (snap) switches.

or some meters, anything less than 30 OHMs

i found that out the hard way when i was about to replace a defrost heater since it didn't beep....they always beeped before, but then I realized my new meter only beeped at 15 ohms and the heater was 27 ohms.
