When a cycle is selected with high or normal heat, the drying/cool down/press saver/ clean lint filter lights flash three times and beeps, there is no display. If low heat is selected, dryer starts and the time is displayed.it's as if the door is open and start is pressed.this happens on all cycles, and only when a high temp is selected.this is a stack unit squeezed into a closet in a tiny bathroom.removing vent hose has no effect on problem.

Most likely a bad electronic control board.

from the Operating Instructions:

"To change the selection after the cycle has begun, press Pause / Cancel twice,

select a new cycle and press START.

Just turning the knob to another selection will not change the cycle.

The signal will beep and the status lights will flash,

but the original cycle will continue."

"If changes are attempted after the cycle starts, the status lights will blink,

the signal will beep and “Err” will be displayed.

To change a setting after the cycle starts, press Pause/Cancel once,

adjust the setting and press START to resume the cycle."

thanks guys.1 question:the tech sheet states to self test /diagnose mode ,set cycle selector to the 3 o'clock position.but there is no indicator or off,so how do you determine the correct position to initiate diagnostic mode?

Turn the big knob ( the cycle selector) to the DELICATES cycle.

remove the front panel(control panel) and look at the heater relay on the board

these models burn up the heater relay

the symtom of a burnt relay is the machine only runs in air fluff

if the relay is cooked, you will have to replace the board, and crimp new ends on the wires if they are burnt up,otherwise the bad ends will damage the new board over time
