To save customers money and increase my profits I would use a W10190965 bare bones ice maker and swap stuff over. Yesterday I used a W10300023 (no swapping stuff) and so far so good. The only difference I see is a smaller mold and a funky two prong ejector rod. Anyone tried this?

As long as it is still the same 8 cube standard size mold you are fine. The double rake arm is to help eleminate hung cubes on the finger guard and surounding area.

I noticed the fill valve that is used with this model ice maker says 65cc on a sticker on the top of the coil..we measured the mold volume of water and the new w10300023 takes approx 1/4 cup of water, where the old style mold takes almost 3/4 cup...I wounder if you must use the 65cc fill valve with this smaller mold? it looks like the control module is different also its blue in color..anybody else run into this new beast?
