Join Samurai Appliance Repair Man on a quest for the missing cool in a Whirlpool-built Side by Side refrigerator.  This unit was intermittently warming up for randomly-varying lengths of time.  The Samurai shows you how to definitively track down the problems and root out ALL the evil-doers.  This was a tricky problem that could fool even battle-hardened Appliantologists.

Here are the parts I used to fix the problem:

Adaptive Defrost Control Board:  http://www.repaircli...004?RCAID=24038

Compressor Start Relay:  http://www.repaircli...466?RCAID=24038

Good video. Did two of these thermostats last week. A good visual that the thermostat is worn is there can be metal shavings or dust under the thermostat.

I know, this video was a little rougher than most of them.  What I really need is a third arm growing out the middle of my chest.  That'd come in handy for all kinda things.

I have a cool little tripod for holding my iPhone but I've only found it to be of limited use in real service call situations.

I wear a Princeton Tec headlamp while on service calls but what I really need help with is holding the camera because it's tough to video things that take two hands.  So you see me do stuff like drop knobs, fumble with face plates, etc.  It ain't purdy but that's life on the live Sam-o-cam!
