Replaced timer but still not advancing. Can the control thermastate stop it from advanceing.Any other options That might cause it. HERB

yes, OR a bad Heating Element,

but NOT in the TIMED DRY cycle,

only during the AUTO DRY cycle

Also a bad sensor board if unit has one, or bad coils, Many times i find coils don't fail right away, run unit on high heat, time dry, check coils, What is model & serial #.

Does the unit Heat? I have had some Ropers where the timer does not advance (Even on Time Dry) if the heating circuit is not working.

aahhh .. GE Roper Hotpoint NVL33EB6WW built by Frigidaire
Timer should run OK in Air-Fluff cycle
In Auto Dry cycle, Timer only runs when either Thermostat "opens"
(Heater must be working OK)

Thanks guys replaced timer and control thermstat. unit working fine.
