My washer will run the high speed spin if it's run in the "normal" setting, but, there's a selection dial setting for just drain/spin, and the option lights let me choose the high speed spin setting, but the machine just does a lazy tumble/spin that doesn't get water out of the clothes.  It won't go into the high speed spin on this setting.

Model Number? probably the door lock or motor control board..

Someone has torn the sticker off that held the model number and serial number.. The machine has always been like this.  It won't run high speed spin on some of the cycles even though you can get the selector light to choose it.
