Ge laundy center/space saver-dryer too hot

3 posts in this topic

Hey guys, I have a ge space saver, the dryer is getting too hot. I am thinking thermal limiter BUT schematic is not there. Which 'thermostat' controls the temp? There are the 2 on the top right and one on the the lower right. Which one do I change? Thanks in advance.

Ps you'd all better be drinking beer today, green or not..........

Ok, after I actually got ge appliance, seems that the dryer doesn't turn on. L1 was disconnected upon arrival, heater is nt shorted out. But appliance was left in the rain. Door switch has got continuity. Start switch has continuity when turned. Motor is free of obstruction and blower turns freely. Without a schematic I am not sure if the thermostat on the blower is a thermal fuse or a cycling thermostat. Washer works fine. What to check ext-Any ideas? I am fairly certain problem doesn't lie with the thermostats on the heater housing, because the motor won't even turn on........?
